Lapping Scope Rings

Who does it and who doesn't?

I have never thought about it in years past, but I'm about to swap around some scopes on a few different guns of mine (bought some new scope rings as well) and wanted to get opinions of others. Is the process worth the rewards or should I do as I usually do and mount the rings and scope and move on?

It’s really not, I worked for two very high end rifle shops and it was done pretty much to say it was done. Plus, you need the proper diameter lapping tool as to not change the fit. Stick with good Leupold rings and call it a day.
