The pitch of the roof is very shallow, and east to walk on. I could measure but I would say it rises one foot every 3-4 feet of run.

I'm not sure it's worth trying to fix, as the roof is to flat.
Can we get a photo tomorrow from the yard of the roof?
if it raises 1foot in 3 foot, that is a 4/12 pitch and should be plenty to shed water off a metal roof.
The fasteners have a neoprene washer on them and if installed too tight they bulge and crack. These washers are only warranted for 15 years although the metal roofing will last indefinitely. I'd almost bet you that your leak is from a fastener washer. If so you may look at replacing them while you are up there. Not very hard to do just time consuming. Without seeing it for myself it is hard to diagnose but most quick fixes by spraying something on the leak are temporary and usually pretty ugly. I hope this helps and I wish I were closer to check it out but that would be the first thing to look for. Next would be leaves sitting on the roof as they will dam the water and make it flow over the lap seams as well. Check the flashing where the roof ties in to the adjoining structure for debris and raised flashing. You will find it just be patient.
If the house roof is shingled, and the addition roof is some form of standing seam metal, it'd take an act of God to get a leak free transition on a roof with that shallow of pitch.
Your pics look like about a 3/12 addition roof. How steep do you estimate your house roof to be?
Another thing to look at is where the fasteners are. They should all be on the raised part of the metal and not the flat part.
Nope depends on metal.
R-Panel goes in flats.
