Line of screws about as straight as the pride parade.

That appears to be really flat. I think stopping that from leaking is going to very hard. It's possible the pine straw stopped up that valley and water backed up under the shingles(until someone cleaned the valley of straw), but it just doesn't have enough slope.

The roof of that porch should have started at the ridge.

The leak, (i think there is only one), is in the bottom of the valley where you have drawn your arrows and circles.
In the picture where you are asking if there are leaks on the other end, i am standing on the bottom of the valley.
I do not believe there are any more leaks.

I really appreciate your insight, and time. What do you recommend i do?

PS- the little white bubble looking things are construction adhesive/caulk that i tried to seal the valley with a couple weeks back. It didnt work.:peep::peep::peep:

Gonogo: thank you. Your picture with the arrows made my problem evident. I tore down the rest of the ceiling, and found that my only problem area is right there at the bottom of the valley.

I went to hd, with rain forecasted for [today] and Friday, looking for a temporary fix.

They sold me Henry 208 wet patch, repair fabric, a trowel, a brush and some other odds and ends.

I went back on the roof and found the metal seam on the valley was lifted. I found the caulk I had applied to seal it resembling cottage cheese.

I pulled out the caulk, and applied the 208 with repair fabric.

Today it rained all day. Instead of water pouring in like it has in the past, I am left with one tiny drip 2-3ft up the valley that I missed. It drips once every 30 seconds or so.

So to sum it up, the ODT saved my butt again. For $80 bucks I fixed my roof (fixing the last little part tomorrow).

Thank you.

I'm not a fan of just smearing sealer up there.

Since the valley was open, I really wish you had bought a tube of metal roofing sealer and unscrewed that valley and applied it under the metal. It would have been even better to have pulled a couple of pieces of metal off and replaced the rotten decking.

The thing about the roof sealant is it's a shortcut, last resort, kinda like "well I give up." Plus when it shrinks(I know it says it won't) it will leak again.

But since you went there, leave that sucker open as long as you can. Once you can get it to stop leaking, take and spray some bleach and water on all that black mold as that stuff is bad. Heck leave that open until a hot day or two so as to make sure the sealant doesn't move.
