Japanese Inagaki pistol.
1937 design, looks like it was 30 years out of date the year the first one was made!
Discontinued in 1943.
This one was made for the Imperial Navy, probably a naval officer's sidearm.

Also the internet is full of pictures of military guns made by this company, but nobody seems interested in any of their sporting guns made for the civilian market.

The Beretta 71 is nearly identical to a gun that we were talking about in early December....
