This is tougher than I thought it would be! Way tougher!!

I can't think of anything I "collect".
I have a lot of stuff, I'm sixty, I've had a lot of time to acquire stuff, that I needed for this or that and it does pile up.

And I've never failed on any endeavor due to a lack of good equipment!, lol,
But I'm gonna have to kick this around awhile before I have an answer..... lol

When I was racin' I hoarded bikes and parts of whatever model I happened to be using. At one point I had the makings of a decent motorcycle junkyard....

Yep same here. i have a ton that are probably worth squat right now. I had em priced about 10 years ago and top end was $8k. Prob $100 now......

Ok, I figured something I guess I do collect at least according to the wife.
Wash tubs! lol
I have big ones and little ones and round ones and oblong ones hung on the outside of my shed.
Once in a while I'll find a great use for one! But mostly they just hang on the shed and look cool, lol.
For awhile there I was feeling left out, because I didn't collect anything..
But I'll buy a washtub just cause I don't have one that size or shape and tack it to the shed, lol.
So that counts right?
Jeez I'm laughing at myself, I collect wash tubs, how grand!
