I don't think I did at all. I think I addressed the part I cared about, which is being able to be hands free by using a sling. I'm not trying to advocate this or that for all the scenarios we could come up with, which I know is what you're getting it. Will leave that for others to discuss.

But you can run a semi with one hand. You can't run a pump with any level of efficiency

And in regards to the costliness aspect, sometimes people have less money than sense.
I absolutely can't run a semi 12 one handed as well as I can shoot a pistol or small rifle one handed. I know, I've done it. especially a long one, you gotta roll the stock into your ribcage to keep it from tipping down.

Dude. Shotgun thread. Keep it shotgun. Not a difficult concept.

There's a reason my go to shotgun is mounted on a safe wall and not in the corner of my bedroom.
