Lets talk fleas

i used frontline plus on a stray that took refuge on and under our porch, he went from itchy McScracthy to happily following me around and not a itch in sight
so that gets my vote

Treat carpets with PreCor 2000 available online or at a do it yourself pest control stores. Buy the aerosol version. Follow the label directions and vaccuum every 2-3 days thoroughly. Follow the advice above and use frontline for more effective treatment for your pets

The flea baths are rough on your dog's skin. Try ivory dish soap. Suffocated them so they run to the surface and you can comb or pick them off. Then get them on a product built for this purpose. If your dog likes dirt, go to a pool store and get some diatomaceous earth. Gets into the fleas and kills the adults, won't help the eggs though. Good luck.

Try Boron. Get it from Home Depot, Walmart etc. It is finely ground rock, not a poison. Sprinkle it all over your carpets and use a broom to sweep it into the nap. The fleas and the larva will eat it and the rock will dry up their innards. After a week, vacuum and repeat. This will put a stop to the fleas and any other crawling critters that run through the house.

Stop trying to save money by using cheap topical flea treatments on your dog. Go ahead and spend the extra money for either Trifexis or Nexguard (which is what I use). Its worth it, dog eats a chewable "tablet" once a month, much easier, much less messy, and way more effective.

I never had fleas until a few years ago. My little mutt has thick hair and he got infested with them. By the time I figured out he had them, it was too late. It was a nightmare. I took him to the vet and he gave me some stuff to rub down my dog's back. The vet told me the fleas would fall off in a matter of minutes. He was right! In a matter of minutes my dog had zero fleas. I had to leave him at my parent's house for a week or so, because they have a fenced backyard, and I called in a friend of mine who is an exterminator to bomb those pesky fleas. I'm telling you, it was bad. I went from no fleas to fleas everywhere in no time. They're not easy to get rid of. I can only recommend the same course of action I took because it is the only experience I have ever had with fleas, but it worked. Good luck man. They are a nightmare.

I'm a fan of trifexis. When they did get in the house once I used flea busters powder and it took care of the issue with one treatment. Outside the house I prefer napalm.
