Lever Gun Porn

I've never seen one of those

I've been going to GT Distributor's in North Georgia since before it was open to the public. And I've gotten to know the long-term employees very well, and they know what interests me.

Five years ago, I walked in, and they pointed me to the used long guns. There stood five or six Marlins all in .35 Remington. They had just purchased all the confiscated guns from the Cobb County Sheriff's Department here in Georgia. The sheriff's department wanted them to take the old department lever guns, but GT's said no because they'd be difficult to sell. Cobb told them, according to an employee, that they'd take them, or they would get no guns at all. So, GT's got "stuck" with these old police lever rifles.

This one was the only rifle that was department marked. I haggled them down to a smidge under $500 out the door. So far, it's the only PD marked Marlin I've ever seen.

thought I'd bring this one back from the archives...

finally have my latest "space cowboy" lever gun just about done.

Marlin 1895 Dark 45-70 (ruger made)
16.1" threaded barrel, black furniture w/ mlok slots
Emissary Development handbrake
Leupold FX-II 2.5x EER scout scope (still looking for the VX-R 1.5-5x scout firefly if anyone has one they will part with!!!)
American Rifle Company 1" 20mm (XLow) rings
Timney Trigger
WWG take down screw
Dead Air Primal w/ Keymo Zero mount

Over the summer I'll see if I can slick it up a bit, and then start to look around for an SBL 38/357. Started casting my own bullets and developed some subsonic loads (340gr Lee and 490gr Lyman) with cast/powder coated bullets using VV 3N37 and IMR 4227 powder. Good fun and you can shoot them all day long (without hearing protection!).
