I’ve never had a problem with a S&G type of safe. And I’ve got (3) of them.

9v batteries should be good regularly to 20 degrees. Lithiums even colder. Ain’t nowhere in GA that cold that long. Wiring issue? Board issue? Something else probably going on there.

I have not, in your experience, should I allow the locksmith to drill my safe and replace it or should I make liberty replace the safe because the integrity has been compromised? then get an s&g on the new one maybe?

If I were you, I'd talk to Safecracka first. I think it's possible you can change the digital to a manual.

It depends on who drills it… but I’m not sure why it’s even being drilled I’d swap the keypad and try to get it opened first.


I would also put an electric lock right back on it…

Why not contact a repair company? My wild guess, without any education on the matter : maybe some moisture got into the circuit board, something corroded , and shorted out , so it would drain batteries, till it fried itself . Please understand that my degree in ghetto technology is extensive. Keep us updated , and good luck HOMESLICE.
