I was shooting my m11/9 in semi trying to work up a load using Accurate No. 7 and Xtreme 124 gr RN Copper with Federal small pistol primers and winchester brass. I started with a C.O.L of 1.150 per Hornady's Handbook of Cartridge Reloading 9th Edition and a min charge of 6.2 gr. The 6.2 cycled fine in semi so I moved up to 6.4 gr. At which point I noticed the primers were all flattened. I stopped at this point and did not keep working my way up to the max listed (7.9 gr). Are the flattened primers normal in the m11/9 or other open bolt subguns? I noticed the factor rounds I shot my first time out were also showing the same issue but not as bad.
The win brass with the red stripe are my reloads at 6.4gr and the other picture is freedomunitions (ammoland brass...sigh) and winchester 124gr NATO.
