Local food near Winder

As others have said Caseys and Smokin Po Boys. Good fish basket at Aww Shucks. Speedy Burrito is excellent. Up the road towards Braselton is Jacks or Local Diner. Jack owns both. Comfort food at Camptons. Personally didn't like Bistro off Broad since they took the crawfish off the menu. Margaritas in Auburn is good as well - about 8 minutes from Winder.

Smokin Po Boys is okay, overrated. I rarely go to Winder, but when I do I make it a point to stop at Barberitos!! Not a joke. It is so much better than Moe's and the other "southwest chains."

Also there is a joint called Friends which is a local sports bar type and a Mexican restaurant right off 81 called Mystico which is pretty good in my opinion.

So Caseys is worth a trip by itself. Excellent burger and soup.

Smokin Po Boys was alright, but I would not go out of my way if I wasn't in the area.
