Are there any gunsmiths/machinists that shorten and re profile barrels and attach permanent muzzle devices or do I have to ship my barrel to a company like ADCO? I'd rather keep it local

So there are no actual gunsmiths capable of this in the metro area or close to it?

Often times it's cheaper to sell the current barrel and use that money to buy a new one in comparison to having the current one turned down and reprofiled.

But you could call Nate at Ft Daniel in Lawrenceville.

If you do send it out, remember to include your gas block and barrel nut, once the muzzle device is perm attached.......it's kinda hard to get those two things on.

My next door neighbor has a Class 3 weapons machine shop in Cumming, and he may be able to help you. I don't have his number available this second, but I will get it for you and send it via PM.
