Looking for good camping knife

Most scout troops prefer the boys have a pocket knife rather than a fixed blade for liability reasons

I have Tabor knives TED knives and a host of other makers,they sit in a drawer. I have a Mora but for go to, get it done and can sharpen with a rock,I am having an old Hickory carbon steel in my pack. I do have a orange camo Buck lok back I got from a friend that rides the pack on deer hunts,caped a deer with it the other night.Thanks M

36fatfriends used to make solid general purpose blades. Not sure if he is still actively making blades nowadays.

As time allows. Life has gotten in the way a little and not as much time. Really only doing a few blades a year now.

Another vote for Mora. Holds an edge well, sharp out of the box. Inexpensive.

For batonning a K-Bar is hard to beat for the money.

I have a couple of Moras. They're cheap, so if it's broken or lost, you're not out much. Good edge, built well, and come with a sturdy plastic scabbard. And they ain't got no Kung Flu stamp on them. Made is Sweden.
