Looking for somewhere to shoot outside....

I don't hunt but I would be interested in going in on a shooting lease someplace. Would not need to be as big a piece of property.
Or if someone had a range they would be willing to share in exchange for money and labor for its upkeep and improvement , I would be interested in that as well.

There are a lot of people looking for an informal range. A lot of land owners, quite reasonably, don't want to get involved for liability and other reasons.

Maybe there's enough interested people here to get together a group of 8-10 people to buy some suitable land.

Not that expensive, and the land will not depreciate. Park some money, use it, enjoy it, then sell when done. A good friend did this and it worked great.

You can shoot anywhere in the National Forest that's not part of WMA or marked as a safety zone, and as long as you follow state law about being 50 yards off the ROW of an improved road. Whang away.

Be aware that there have been some reports of NF folks enforcing litter laws for stuff like cans and paper targets left on the ground I have no first hand knowledge of them doing this, but commend them if they do. It's hard enough to get people to police their targets at a formal range.

Don't know where you contacted BLM, they don't have any land in Georgia (although I believe the rules are the same.)

45alltheway 45alltheway my family has land less than 2 miles from you on old peachtree, I shoot there some and at the gun club, but with neighborhoods near by I just shoot rimfire or suppressed, don't want any attention or police coming to check, it's enough just keeping the neighborhood kids off the property and away from the lake. My family is old school southern, don't like strangers or Yankees.
