Picking a firearm, whether done by a female or a male, is a very personal choice.
At the end of the day, we all have to decide for ourselves what is the best option for our intended use.

Pictures of wife......really TR?
I would choose Ruger LCR, in .357 at 17 oz, which is 4 oz heavier than its little sista .38.
I would also choose to use only JHP in .38 Special, for defense, that is.
The gun has slightly less recoil due to heavier weight, but no need to shoot .357, in my opinion, for a woman.
Statistically, they will need shots 2 and 3, so keeping on target is essential. BUT....you always have the magnum option.
Such a great carry gun, easy to conceal, has that comfort that we all seek in a close carry weapon.
Never fails. That and 4$ gets you a bottle of two buck chuck at Trader Joes. (not Trader Rons) hamhock
