Just bought a new bobcat E42 last week. I've always had kubotas till now. Just did the 50hr service on it and these are very easy to service compared to other manufacturers

Support after the sale is probably more important than which machine you pick.
Downtime is more expensive than any part you're ever going to buy. Wait 2 weeks for a part and see how far behind it puts you or how many jobs you have to turn down because now you're behind........
If its not digging its costing you money.

For what it is worth, my opinion, they only accessory you should get is a hydraulic thumb. Enclosed cabs, a/c, radios, all that stuff breaks and impedes your ability to work. How are you gonna hear someone scream if the cab is closed and your rocking out to "sweatin' with the oldies". Outside of that, the manufacturer is just personal opinion.

Mainly trenches in existing parking lots

The thumb is handy
And we also use a hammer sometimes
Might buy a hammer
Might just rent them but the rent on a hammer is almost the same as on the mini ex and the hammer doesn't cost $50k

Don't want closed cab
I'm on and off the machine way too many times for a door
