Curious as to how our precision community measures the proper LOP. This will be a Ford/Chevy argument I am sure, as I have seen and tried several ways myself. How do you properly measure and setup your LOP?

I don't really use any specific method. Maybe I should, but I'm a decent sized guy and tend to adjust the stock out to the point where it's comfortable and natural feeling to get into and out of prone and into other positions. May be something I should actually do once though.

I prefer a long length of pull--such as 14 inches or 14.5 inches ---for shooting bench rest or from the prone position where I tend to crawl up the stock more.

A shorter length of pull is better for shooting from the sitting position or unsupported standing, when I hold my head more upright and not so much forward .

I set it to where it feels best from the prone position, because that is where I do most of my serious shooting or I'm really trying to get the best accuracy.
