Lunch break

During my lunch break. I decided to cut down a 28" mossberg 500 I picked up over the weekend to be more manageable in a self defense scenario. (Plus I got the gun cheap) It's fun having a mill in my office and it's nice to be able to true things up.







I'm probably going to break it down completely and paint it as well. Thinking about replacing the furniture as well with a folder and poly foregrip. I thought about removing the rib. But I think I'll just put some rib sights on it and call it done. It's just a truck/house/whatever gun.

Ok, I'm in before the NFA nazis come out....
Looks good though! I wish I had a small mill/lathe sometimes. Just to be able to do things like this...and crown bbls., round off sharp edges evenly, etc., It is so much better to have a way to be halfway straight with it!

18.25". Not NFA. And to be honest, I just used the mill to face it. The rough cut was made with a band saw.

Yup, maybe I shouldn't have owned up to it right off the bat to see how many people would have jumped in.

That's a winner too. Plus with the full stock ya always got a handy jaw breaker if needed!

Paint is rubbed off the receiver at the door and has a few scratches here and there. I dunno if I'll bother though really.
