I inherited a M1 Carbine. I’ve been trying to find more information on it, but there’s a lot of variables. From what I can tell, it’s made by Inland and the serial number suggests it was built in 1944. The confusing part is the barrel is made by Underwood with 1-44 stamped on it. There’s also an exploding bomb stamp under the Underwood and 1-44.
I have read that the Underwood barrels were put on later imported models and less desirable.
I’m trying to figure out the value of this one. Any help is appreciated.
