I feel ya! I was rebuilding a 71 Javelin, my dad gave me one for my first car in 1980
He passed a moth ago, and really don’t even want to look at it now

It does cost more and even with the skills and connections that I have I'm looking at 15k-20k.

I have a 66 Mustang coupe that I have been hauling around for over 20 years. It was the car I learned to drive. My Dad bought brand new in Atlanta back in 1966. I had the motor fully rebuilt 13 years ago.....never started it. I replaced all the suspension, all the brakes and brake lines, new gas tank and fuel line. I have new seat covers, headliner, carpet, tail lights etc. It just sits in the basement. Owning property takes up so much time. And now I have a 3 year old grand daughter.......so it just sits. I am thinking about selling it. The older I get, the less I feel like working on cars.

I've had this project sitting around for years. Honestly with how busy I stay I never find time to work on it anymore. Recently I had someone hot on my heels to trade for it, but they seem to be more talk than anything. At the very least at least its given me reason to focus on either restoring it or figuring out it's long term. Anyone else have projects like that?
