+1, I liked what blackplague14 said so I just copied it. I added a little extra at the end though.
I am contacting you to ask that you vote against any gun control and magazine capacity legislation. I do not support any further infringements on the Second Amendment. There can be no compromise when it comes to Constitutionally guaranteed Rights.
Please, do NOT support McCarthy's High Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device Act. Criminals do not follow the law, and creating MORE laws only puts law-abiding citizens at risk.

I am writing to express to you my concern about the ever-increasing attack on the US Constitution's Second Amendment. I see it everywhere in DC politics, from the views espoused by Attorney Genera Eric Holder, to proposed legislation HR 45, to recent comments by Bill Clinton calling for stricter "gun control".
A firearm is no more dangerous in the wrong hands than is a motor vehicle or a bottle of alcohol. It is my strong feeling that what this country needs is criminal-control, not more gun-control.
The Presidential Oath includes the phrase: "...to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States..." In fact, everyone who takes the Oath of Loyalty is sworn to resist tampering with the Constitution. This includes Senators, Representatives, Military personnel, State Troopers, Sheriffs, Deputies and City Police. Any of these officials who attempts to disarm American citizens is guilty of High Treason and Despotism, and this includes the president of the United States.
Which has the higher authority; the United States Constitution or elected government officials?
I urge you to commit to making a strong stand in support of the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution, to resist McCarthy's High Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device Act and all attempts to undermine the Constitution and thus strip Americans of their rights.

Ironically, her husband (McCarthy) was killed by a rather plain, stock Ruger P-89 in 9mm that he had waited the 15-day period for in CALIFORNIA. This while he was putting in the 3rd mag. Gun laws winning.
