Magnetic 9mm AR delayed blowback recoil system

It’s not specifically “smoother”. It’s got a particular snap to it’s that minimal and repeatable. Designed to move the dot very little, but get it back on target quickly.

If you want smooooooth... I’d recommend something specifically designed to dampen.

- Taccom 3 stage buffer
- KYNSHOT hydraulic buffer
- MBX buffer

The Taccom adjustable looks promising, in 2 stage it will keep the BHO working. And they have 22 pressure plugs back in stock if someone needs one (much better than a dowel).

Their (pretty sure it’s 3 stages now) adjustable system is awesome - I ran one of those on my pre-MPX competition gun very soft shooting.

The 3rd stage is removable to keep LRBHO functions.

If I decide I don’t like this magnetic system, I’ll either go back to the 3 stages or try a Kynshot hydrologic setup.

I can't tell if you the cushion is on top of the 3rd stage, or it's the third stage from the info they posted.

We’ve now added the “SHORT STROKE” cushion for the 3rd stage in the package. While this short stroke cushion will not allow for the BHO to function, reducing the the travel of the bolt in both directions will further reduce felt recoil and sight bounce allowing you come back to point of aim faster.

The front cushion is the 3rd stage. It’s removable and the internal spring can be held in place with a big set screw instead.

And it takes a regular spring if I still need the heavier 308 spring, sounds like just the ticket.

Does anyone remotely near (or willing to go to) Dahlonega have a 5" 9mm Banshee SBR?

I have one of these, as well as a Kynshot 9 buffer, and am looking to compare all 3 against a normal AR9 bolt/buffer config.

I plan to fire them with the same stock from some type of rest that allows a measure of both push and muzzle flip while filming the profile against a grid background with a high speed camera.

The Kynshot and Taccom both feel better than the original AR9. However, I want to report data and not subjective feelings.

The Taccom seems to tame port noise some when shooting suppressed. That has yet to be measured as well.
