I am not liking that no.1 plug boot against that header pipe. Thats gonna burn.
Maybe its just the pic ?

I've got a couple more hits with a hammer for clearance but it doesn't touch now. I think it will burn as close as it is tho

Possibly some header wrap right there at the plug maybe ? As ugly as it would be ? Lol.
Of course, looking at a pic and looking at it in person are two different things.

Holy cow! I didn't realize it had been so long since I worked on this thing till I just looked at my last post. Anyway, hot rod motor is in. Took some finagling but it kinda fits. Alternator wiring and radiator is all that is left before it makes noise. Then it's timing and carb tuning. Yeehaw!
