22 ammo can get pretty nasty quick cleaning the magazine tube inside and out along with the spring makes a huge difference

Marlin 60 quality??

The old ones had a split feed throat, that over time would widen causing ftf's. I've replaced several of them with the newer one piece feed throats, and put them back in service for another 50k rounds. The new ones all come with the one piece, which was the only achilles heel with the older rifle. The new ones also have a bolt lock, if you push inward on the charging handle with the bolt at the rear position. Some of the older ones have it, some don't.
Probably more 60's sold than any other 22 semi
I bought mine in 1978. $69.95. My first rifle. It is a Glenfield.
This was the answer that I needed. I know their older stuff worked well but I was afraid of the new production models after hearing so much issues with their non-jm lever actions.
Sadly, I did not get any notifications to this post. I don't know why. Had I read this sooner while I was in Clayton,GA I would of brought it home. It was a beautiful stainless steel barrel/action on a nice birch stock w/ a matching silver scope.

I have a 1968 Marlin 60 that I taught my daughter, great niece, great nephew, and several others to shoot with and has had thousands of rounds through it without a single problem. I have disassembled and cleaned it twice in the 20 years I have owned it.
If you have a lot of notifications and miss one, that one will not show up until you look at the thread again.
