"Bubba" thought it would be easy to drill some holes on an otherwise very nice Spanish Mauser to mount a scope. This is the second one I've come across like this. The holes aren't straight, wallowed out and completely through the top of the receiver to the bolt. A traveling friend of mine bought the gun and asked if the holes could be safely filled so that it could be fired. I'm from the Dirty Harry School of "A man has to know his limitations." It's not something I can do. I've posted a few pix although the images are not great.

The bastardized gun of mine I sold to an ODT guy several years ago and thought he could fix it. I don't remember his name but if it's you, OR, have experience with something like this, please send me a PM and give me some direction. Many many thanks. Sorry, but I don't text.
