Max weighs about 75-80lbs is my guess, as far as around cats? I have no idea but he one hell of a good Companion.. I just have to many responsibility to deal with..I need a small dog for my wife while we travel. I figure she will have her companion in the truck or Jeep, this would occupy her and comfort her..
