Maybe a dumb question

We think differently. I put as much into my hunting rigs as I do my self-defense and service rigs, including the optics. I don’t want my hunt ruined by poor accuracy or reliability. To me, that is never a waste of money.
I think the difference between a 500 gun and a 1500 gun is considerable. But the difference between a 1500, and a 2500 gun? Not as considerable. But I have less experience with that price range.

I don't care if I'm in my backyard picking off tree rats, at an indoor range, at a hunt an hour away or a lifetime hunt across the globe, at a match, or for defense. I expect my guns to perform at a high level. A failure isn't acceptable. A failure to happen because I shaved off a few hundo? That's on me and something I can easily avoid. I also want to know that my kit performs. If I miss, it's on me. I can correct me issues on the fly. I can't correct a poor gun or ammo or optics.

Exactly.

For instance, the AR I built with my 16YOA to use on the range. I cut no corners for accuracy and reliability, and the cost of parts never entered into the equation. The only real difference between her’s and mine is that we went with a lighter profile barrel for weight savings, and a smaller diameter/lighter weight rail than what I normally use. I would grab her AR and take it to a gunfight any day of the week.

We don’t. I know the audience. I was trying to answer the OP’s question not get into a measuring contest. It’s cool. I’m sure he got what he needed from his post. Haha

No sir, in this particular instance we think differently.

I considered the OP’s question, as well as drivel spouted by some folks (I am NOT including you in that group), and answered accordingly. My statements show that $1200 for a DD M4 in .300Blk is worth it in my opinion, which is what he was asking.

Read it again Jarhead

You’re hilarious

How am I hilarious?

At one point in time, I wasn’t capable of making that shot. I received proper training, applied what I learned through diligent practice, and now I can reliably make that shot. If I can get trained and practice, most anyone can.....that’s what I’m saying.

Yeah that’s common knowledge. I know you been doing it for a while. I have too.
