I don’t think anyone here is bashing the option to build one, but for a novice, getting quality from the beginning has value in the fact that it should shoot as it is intended.
Someone needs to address this question.
I have a reasonably good set of hand tools, good collection of power tools, and no experience building an AR-15.
It appears to me that most of the parts can be purchased as assembled sub-assemblies.
So realistically how much actual time would it take for someone who's never owned an AR15 to build one?
