Memorial Day flag etiquette ???

A trivia show had a question about this a few weeks ago.
Etiquette is half staff till noon for the fallen, then full staff for remainder for day.
Is this correct??

Google is smarter than the odt brain trust. Most people dont have a 50 foot flag pole.

I’m not at all sure about that!! There’s alot of real hard world experience here!
No pole here either, but my holder will do both. Horizontal for half staff.
