Men making new friends...

My wife on the other hand is a social butterfly. Literally becomes best friends with somebody she's just met in a new social environment. But she's only of those people who can talk to anybody about anything. And then somehow they'll figure out they went to elementary school together, or that their mee-maws went to church together, or some other mutual thing. It never fails and it could be literally anywhere that this happens

I wish I had time to spend with the friends I have. In my 40's with a 2.5 year old and wife, a farm currently 1.5hrs from my house I spend half the week at, building a house, and my other career which has really taken a back seat this past year. Barely have enough time for my immediate family including aging parents. I'm fortunate that my family and the majority of my friends are understanding of my current (and temporary) situation. Can't wait to get back to a lot of my hobbies where I have been able to create great friendships that mean a lot to me prior to this whole mess.

I'm in the market for 2 new good friends. One needs to be a great paver patio guy and the other needs to be a computer guy.
Also, I recently went from a RAM 2500 to a Ford F-350.... so, I might need a mechanic friend too. PM me.

After living here for 23yrs my wife who is the social type person decided to invite the neighborhood over to our large front yard. About 20 to 30 of them showed up. She was in her happy place being social and talking with them all. I provided labor to set it all up (happy wife happy life). Everyone was jibber jabboring and I kept my large fire pit stoked. I was in my happy place stoking the fire.

Same way with me. I’m usually cooking on in the bbq smoker or by the fire.

Exactly. I just turned 66 and all (2) of my friends have passed. My wife likes it now that I keep to myself.
