It’s nice having Real Friends. I don’t get pissy when they’re busy or spending time with Family, or whatever. Them knowing I’ll be there if NEEDED goes a long way and viseVersa. Pretty fullUp and content. Health issues have certainly been a nuisance and I ain’t really putting much effort into making new friends when I got enough to get’er done. If I’ve broke bread with you, I’m here. Hope to make another meet soon. Great Folks here , plenty to learn from.

I made a good friend just 5 hours ago. All it cost me was $30 and a couple hours of the most enjoyable conversation one could hope for. I walked away with a really nice knife, a belly full of BBQ and a smile on my face. Couldn't be happier.

This thread just made me think.... most of the people I know who are in miserable marriages started out LOOKING for a wife. 31 years ago, the last thing I wanted was a wife... but she's perfect... even after 31 years.

I'd guess actually seeking friendships might work as good as pushing a rope. Get out there and be a part of it all. Good friendships just kinda happen. All of our efforts will certainly ruin the stew.

"friends" are overrated, and family is even worse. My tribe are the three people who live under my roof, wife and two kids. And my parents. they are the only people who push me to do better and who I can count on win the fit hits the shan.

I have a lot of people that I know on a fairly close basis, men and women. There are three men in my life I could call from anywhere at 3:00 am and ask them to come get me out of whatever predicament I was in And they would with no questions asked. I would do the same for them. This is kinda the litmus test for friendship to me. That none of are likely to be out at 3 am anymore makes it good for all of us.
