Posted this on the "knife in your pocket today" thread. Any of y'all have any suggestions?

Kinda off topic, but you guys kinda know a little bit:

I'm looking for a nice folder with macarta scales, 3" to a 3 1/2" blade, preferably with a tip up pocket clip. I bought a Giant Mouse Ace folder at Blade, but it's kind of a POS.

I like that classic micarta look, but can't find much. I don't mind spending a bit on something nice. Everything is titanium or black handles these days.

Hi guys. Quick update.

Doc came by and said we dodged a huge bullet and that she has progressed so much that she will most likely be discharged tomorrow, just shy of the one week mark.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and the flowers, I know they all helped greatly.

You guys are awesome.

I know DEVEST8R and @SafeCracka were most likely ringleaders and a few more of you sorry SOB's chipped in.

My wife sends big hugs to all of you.


Long story short, my wife has been in the ER and now hospital since Sunday with diverticulitis. The infection tore a hole in her lower intestine and was letting air into her abdominal cavity.

The immediate threat was the infection and getting that under control to see if surgery was going to be needed. Thankfully we dodged that bullet as the corrective surgery is intense and very intrusive.

She is still in a great deal of pain and is on a morphine clicker but doc says maybe out by Saturday or Sunday.

Thanks to my ODT brothers for lifting her spirits today.
