New work knife?

If you spend 2 minutes with a Hawk, you will use a Microtech to pick the mud out of your boot tread. Every OTF manufacturers goal is lock. Nobody touches the lockup of a hawk.

I don’t buy OTFs to use. For use I prefer a folder. I usually carry an OTF in my left pocket to play with and a folder on my right to actually use.

Most days my folder is a Spyderco of some sort. If I could figure out a comfortable way to carry a Buck 110 I would carry one instead.

My OTFs have to be reliable, sharp, and not look like I bought it at a gas station. The deadlock may be a great knife with incredible lockup, but that means nothing to me if I don’t care for the knife’s appearance.

The signature series CT HH I own was much more than I would normally pay for a knife, no way would I pay more for one that is even uglier.

i don’t consider OTFs serious hard use knives. I would put a Buck 110 up against most any of them made for serious use

Speaking of brutal work horse folders. I’d put a Grayman up against anything
