Every part in every gun manufactured since late 2022, with the exception of the recoil plug is machined from forged steel.I heard that Tisas American 1911 are forged, frame and slide. If so it's not a bad start. With a little trigger work it could be a decent gun. At that price point I wonder if just something is lacking there.
That's what I thought, and the reason I asked...bc that parkerizing is cleeeeeeeeeeeeannnnnnnnn.Manganese Phosphate Parkerized, it is really nice.

This thread got me to google it, and this was a top result ($329.99 @ PSA):We received a transfer for a customer today for that exact gun. With tax and shipping, I wanna say he paid around $332, plus our $20 transfer fee.
Talked to their reps at the GOA Convention last year after handling all their guns. TISAS or their parent company are an aerospace engineering and missile company in Turkey. The gun thing is a side piece for them. They are ISO certed and I dare say a good bit ahead of 1911s from the P.I. The Yukon bobtailed 10MM really caught my eye last year. They make good stuff, and one is next on the agenda....Every part in every gun manufactured since late 2022, with the exception of the recoil plug is machined from forged steel.
What’s lacking there is unionized mullet and gray haired lady labor cost. I also recently bought a Springfield MilSpec, great gun too, but to get it up to near the same standard as this Tank Commander I have $850 in it, just saying.
The Tisas line will eventually gain the respect from the 1911 community the Norinco 1911 has, once you handle one it’s kind of hard to deny reality. I have owned both and I think the Tisas is a better gun fit and finish wise. But alas, the Fudd clock turns slowly.
100 rounds of FMJ so far, shoots good runs good.
The cerekoted Tank Commander is lower priced than the parkerized version. I have both type finishes (cerekoted pic below). Both are good, I like the parkerized finish more. This thread got me to google it, and this was a top result ($329.99 @ PSA):
