Military exchange pulled 10+ round mags

I just ordered a bulk pack of GI mags just in case. Aluminum GI mags are 12 bucks and change at Brownells. Free shipping over 49 bucks. I will be set when these come in. I was going to order some more 6.8 mags but damn they are still 30 bucks a pop.

Could be a dog and only show, or it could be a bill just waiting on the perfect political environment.
This is the perfect political environment. Kids are doing walk outs by the thousands. I would say now is the right political environment. It can't get any worse. I say buy what you can now and not get caught in a tizzy. Trump will do something radical as soon as his spray tan session is over. Clearly the man is a total jerk wad but he is going to have to do something to calm the masses after this last incident.

I am hunting ammo right now. I won't say how much ammo I have but I am going to buy some bulk .223 next. It can be had for 159 bucks for 500 rounds. I think it's 239 or 269 for 1000 rounds. 28 cents a round isn't bad at all.

Same here. I just called the gun department of Ft. Benning PX. The attendant confirmed that anything over ten rounds is no longer available. When asked if this was only at Benning or if it was AAFES wide, she didn't know. She said she had a couple of days off from work; and when she returned all the subject magazines were gone from the shelves.

I just left the FBGA PX with 2 10 rounders, no more 30 round. Same female told me the same story and laughed when I asked if more would be in. The tactical store at entrance to PX said they would have a shipment coming in soon, approx. $20 each. Tactical store (name?) on Sand hill has 30 round PMags. I just left an ICE report. Why not quit selling alcohol because of DUIs also?

Well I ordered a 6 pack of 30 rounders from Brownells either yesterday or the day before and a message popped up and ask " what made you make this purchase today ". So that was weird since that hasn't ever happened before. It could be something new. Also I have gotten 3 emails from them with jibberish that some items may have been out of stock before the order could be processed. Another freakish thing that's never happened is the 3rd email from management that said they were verifying the order. Now I think something is in the works there at Brownells because I have never gotten this many emails before the item has even been charged to my account and before the actual shipment. I could be just me but it feels like a stall tactic on shipping them. It all seems to clandestine with the pop up question and the stalling emails but who knows, maybe they just changed their shipping process since the last million times I have ordered from them. However I believe a lot of places are going to stop selling high capacity mags and we are just seeing the very beginning of it all. I also believe that gun shops and big vendors are wanting to distance themselves from things like high cap mags, bump stocks and binary triggers for denial plausibility. I would love to have a binary trigger but I just can't bring myself to spend 500 bucks on one. The bump stocks can all be burned simply because them make the gun look like total s**t. However, the binary trigger is unseen and does not alter the look of the platform. It's all a crock of s**t to me but oh well what's a MF to do.

Just had to get that rant off my chest. We can all go about our business now. I appreciate you listening to me vent.

Here is an article with a response. Looks like they’ll still sell pistols and rifles with original equipment but as far as the “extra” magazines/clips are concerned, they are no longer selling them.

I also purchased some from Brownells this past Sunday. Still waiting on them to be mailed out. Order has been confirmed, but no shipment.
