What is it then ? If you were ordered to shoot a civilian, that wasn't committing some major crime, ie murder rape armed robbery... Would you? Do you have a line in the sand? What if more than one guy refused the order? You know in your heart what is moral and just.

I was in the lower 9th ward and never heard anything about gun confiscation until I was home for a while. We searched from house to house for the living and the dead; we found some of both. There was a brief discussion about forced evacuation which I admit I did have a little run in with my boss when the subject came up. Our mission was to find survivors, secure the levees and discourage looting. The only looters brazen enough to steal while the Army was there was the NOPD.

The youtube video is as close as most of us got to gun confiscation.

***edit*** We worked 12 on and 12 off in a cesspool. We drank a lot.

Wow never heard that about the NOPD, but somehow am not surprised either. I have some good friends from Louisiana, and they tell me that is a corrupt little town. Thanks for your input on that, at least I know now it wasnt as rampant as the video made it out to be.
