OP, Some deals work out, some don't.
That's just part of the wheeling & dealing process.
Not just in ODT, but in all aspects of life actually.
In sales it's natural to have several lookers, bee
backers and tire kickers before you get the person
that's ready (and able) to buy. Think ratio used to
be about 5 to 1. You can bitjch about waiting on the
deadbeat or figure that's one notch closer to your buyer.
Bet every girl you asked out didn't say yes.
Bet every job you applied for didn't call back.
Bet every taco you ate didn't stay down.
Got to keep trying tho, makes you appreciate
the deals that do work out.....hopefully.
However, If you a have a deal and either side backs out, that’s representative of the character of that person. I think the OP had a deal made and then the seller backed out because he got a new offer. That isn’t what you are describing above and shouldn’t be part of the wheeling and dealing process.

Tree Fiddy wasn't enough.........

If somebody else said - I'll take it and here's where I can meet and when, then they moved to the front.
They probably had "cash munny in hand," ready to buy.

The real problem is that ODT doesn't respect the "I'll take it "policy on other forums once you say "I'll take it in Comments and you're the first one it's yours and if that doesn't happen Seller or Buyer gets negative feedback.

Why is that even a thing? You have no idea if 10 people already sent a PM. There's a reason the rules say that it's not a deal until confirmed in PM by both parties.

Yup. Can't tell you how many times I've gotten an "I'll take it." Dtart working out meet and they want you to drive 4.5 hours one way for a $100 scope mount and hand deliver.
