Moms Only for "legitimate need to carry hidden, loaded guns"

We need a Moms for 2nd Amendment group!

There is a pro-gun group "Stop Mom's Who Demand Action" webpage on FB. I encourage all to "like" the page who oppose MDA.

A February 13th Ninth Circuit Court ruling (Peruta v. San Diego County) would loosen standards for issuing concealed weapon permits, upending the long-standing practice in most cities and suburban communities of requiring that permit applicants show "good cause" for carrying a hidden, loaded weapon.

Most cities and suburban communities where? There are currently at least 40 shall carry states that I'm aware of and several with constitutional carry; no permit required if you are a lawful person. This is all an too common practice to exaggerate not just for MDA but all the major anti-gun groups.

But the court ruling has NOT taken effect. California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris has requested a full-court review of the decision

It is in Orange county hence the outrage.... Care to guess which political party AG Harris belongs to?

Harris has been mentioned as a possible nominee for a seat on the United States Supreme Court, should a seat on that court become vacant during the second Obama administration

Just one more judge is all that is required to re-interpret the bill of rights.

On November 12, 2008, Harris announced her candidacy for California Attorney General. She was immediately seen as the front runner and was endorsed by such prominent Californians as Senator Dianne Feinstein and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

One can often be judged by not just the enemies one collects but friends as well.

Harris has been a vocal proponent for gun control her entire career. While serving as District Attorney in Alameda County Harris recruited other District Attorneys and filed an amicus brief in District of Columbia v. Heller, arguing that the Second Amendment does not protect an individual's right to own firearms. Harris also supported San Francisco’s proposition H, which would have prohibited most firearms within city limits.

The bill of rights is actually a written stipulation of "states" rights and actually the second amendment only provides for the states to form an armed guard (national guard) who is loyal to the state rather than the people. The people have no right to firearms and thusly can be regulated to point that a citizen is disbarred the possession and use of a firearm.

Yet another person educated far beyond their intelligence, who forgot to comprehend the purpose and intent of individual rights, how they were defined (the federalist papers) and the mindset of those who assisted in their definition.

Folks, if these narrow minded bureaucrats are allowed to control the highest levels and positions in our nation it will not fare well for us as a free people. Watch out for this one.

She also has concluded it is much more cost effective to just keep violent murder inmates alive in prison rather than allow death penalty......... It appears she uses the same logic that she used in an attempt to deny citizens of their 2A rights......

Harris's position against the death penalty was tested again in the case of Edwin Ramos, an illegal immigrant and alleged MS-13 gang member who was accused of murdering Tony Bologna and his sons Michael and Matthew. On September 10, 2009, Harris announced she would seek life in prison without the possibility of parole rather than the death penalty in the Ramos case.

Harris has expressed the belief that life without possibility of parole is a better, and more cost-effective, punishment. According to the California Commission on the Fair Administration of Justice, the death penalty conservatively costs $137 million per year.If the system were changed to life without possibility of parole, the annual costs would be approximately $12 million per year. Harris noted that the resulting surplus could put 1,000 more police officers into service in San Francisco alone

Sometimes other people's logic isn't logical at all! Those numbers have to be skewed somehow. $137 million for death penalty????? Sounds like the appeals system needs to be re-evaluated!

This whole progressive movement just to "look" as though we fit to the rest of the world is getting real old real fast. I thought this is BIG part of what sets us apart from those asswipes, OUR right to choose.
That old saying, "criminals won't give up their gun, they don't what the law says, it only disarms the honest, etc.. etc..". If you think about it criminals wouldn't stand up and fight against tyranny so it all works out for the liberal agenda.

When a woman CAN'T legally carry so she'll have the ability defend herself and her family isn't a good enough reason there's something seriously wrong with this new liberal "bowel" movement excreting across our great nation.
Liberals disgust me.

thats exactly the problem

japan is the only other nation (that is civilized) to use the death penalty. their average stay on death row is between 6 to 8 years. they also use hanging as the method of execution (cheapest and makes sure you are dead). the judge sets a date of execution their appeals process cannot interfere with. the idea being a death sentence is pretty final and only reserved for the most severe cases. if you cant prove a jury and court system wrong in 6 or 8 years well then you are out of luck

the reason the appeals process costs so much here in the USA is because of how specialized it is. in order to file paperwork in many appellate courts the paperwork itself must be perfect. i have heard about motions being rejected because of the letterhead used or font. this creates a special breed of lawyers and bureaucrats to facilitate the appeals process (which gets damn expensive). after all prison is not about reform or punishment, its about that dollar
