Saw these things in Virginia in 2011 when i went to visit some family. We went out to a field to shoot pistols and it was a bit boggy from some rain they had the week before... not only were these things HUGE, but there were SO MANY. Clearly we were the only warm blooded animals they had seen in a while because they had come from MILES to gnaw on us. They were no joke painful bites, but I was more afraid that the number of them could possibly carry me away if they worked as a team!

These things are already in Ga. Last year I was bitten by them in Monroe county. When they bit you it felt like getting a shot. Even a decent breeze wouldn't keep them off of you. When I called my supervisor to bring some bug spray he thought I was being attacked by a swarm of bees cause he could see them as he was driving up to me.
