So… like the title says, I’m moving to the central Alabama area. I’ve actually been staying out here for the last couple of weeks in my camper till I close on my new house out here. So I’m already starting to have some withdrawals… even though I’m still technically a Georgia resident, I have been refraining from doing any firearms trade in Georgia. Is there anything online out here in Alabama even close to the outdoor trader. I mean we all know OTD is almost all Georgia… especially with the firearms listings. I haven’t really found anything yet for Alabama and was hoping someone knew of some trading boards or heck something…
Also any advice of some cool places to visit, local sporting stores, ranges, and just anything in general you want to tell me.

Enjoy the lower state incomes and MUCH MUCH lower property taxes. ODT has a national section now just not a lot of action on it. I don't think TN or AL has a site exactly like ODT with this amount of traffic.

Tons of cool places etc.

Good luck with your move!!

I was born in Wetumpka, lived there until I was 8 and then moved away. It's had some rough patches in time for sure...not sure how much the casino has helped the area, haven't been there in probably 10 years

Taxes are way cheaper over here. So is actual property. I couldn’t pass it up. Making more money with a job transfer/promotion. Plus cheaper living. Sales taxes are a little more over here than the average in Georgia. But I’m used to paying cobb county taxes on a lot things. So… not really too much of a difference. Lol

Yeah I researched the areas pretty hardcore. It seems like the casino has done a good job at actually making it pretty nice over there. I’m guessing the taxes and income coming in from that have been more positive. I’m not living in the city limits… that’s for sure. And honestly I’m a decent distance outside the limits as well with a decent amount of land.
