So again the laws and background checks fail and then are found to have failed and the suspect still keeps the gun. So basically the “system” failed yet again but more laws and checks will work. What a mess

What a **** show. Illinois deserves this garbage. They brought it on themselves. Im sure the politicians there will blame the nra and lawful gun owners though. They have no other plays in their playbook.

What “IF” it was easier to legally carry a CCW at this plant? It’s possible nothing would have changed or maybe the number of murdered is decreased. Funny how that is never mentioned.

Did cops attempt to confiscate it or order him to sell it to an FFL dealer?
Did Martin tell the cops he sold it in an unregulated private-party sale?
Did he claim he lost it in a tragic boating accident in a deep body of water?

Ahh... so that's why this disappeared from the news so quick. I figured we'd be neck-deep since it happened on the anniversary of the Parkland attack.
