My 18 year old asked my to buy him a handgun

The title says it all my 18 year old son asked me if I would buy him a handgun. He already has a shotgun and a rifle. If he lived with me I would not have a problem but he lives with his mom. I am thinking that its gonna be a no. But I though I would ask first. Is it ok todo sense he is my son?

i think at 18 he can buy a handgun himself to my knowledge but he can not carry said handgun until turning 21 and getting a permit

i am not a lawyer and do not know every law on the book though

I say no as well, not until he's 21.
i can see it doing nothing but cause problems until then due to legality o things like very restricted places he can have it, etc.
