My 2 year old was bit by this snake what is it

that looks like a king snake...non poisonousWhat type of snake is this. She went to pick up a tennis ball and apparently saw this snake and touched it and we are at the ER now just to check up on her. I snapped this picture to show the dr.
but dont take any chances with a 2 yearold
Yeah either a king snake or maybe a black rat snake. Good job getting her straight to the er! Can never be too cautious when it comes to little ones.

Looks like a king snake or black snake. Either way not venomous; but they will bite.
I agree with the above id's , either king or rat or with the long slim body perhaps a racer ...non venomous but they have a mouth full of germs and bacteria so get your child medical attention to avoid possible infection from the bite...a good cleaning and rinse with a little preventative antibiotic will fix her right up.

I know these are good to have around and all i think it's illegal to kill nonvenomous snakes in GA? , but it'd be a dead snake if it bit my kid
