This pistol is da bomb. Having owned the GSG 1911, I can tell you the Colt is by far the better choice. Very well made, full size, not ammo picky, and accurate as all heck. Plus a threaded barrel to boot!

I've been thinking about a new host, too.

What's the cost difference between the Colt and GSG?
 
The threads are recessed, here's a couple of pics. Shopping online for some Novak sights and a couple extra mags.

I have the M&P in 22lr. Also a great choice for semi auto 22 pistol....

imhave a a few other M&P pistols. The 22 has the best trigger I have ever shot

Okay, so both have threaded barrels but the Colt has a 12 rd instead of 10 rd mag.

Forgive the ignorance, but you need an adapter to mount a can, right?

Is that what I'm seeing on post #5?

You will need an adapter to mount a can with either the gsg or the colt.

They ususally run somewhere between $20-$30
