My FFL said today that he hates doing transfers...............Though not for the reasons you would suspect.

He hates doing transfers because they are an infringement upon the second amendment.

I agreed and we had a long chat on the subject of infringements on our constitutionally protected rights.

So my FFL may be slow getting me my firearms we agree on a ton of other things and always have a nice chat.

Well I agree with that particular point. But it was GCA68 that created the FFL system and that's the license that his bidness depends on. So I guess at least for him it's a necessary evil.
When we lived in Darien we used to drive back up here to see my Mom in Perry and we took 341 the whole way. There was a gun shop right on the main road in Waycross that I finally stopped in one day. I had been drunk bidding on GunBroker and looking for a local FFL. But they told me it would be $45.00 per serial number. No thanks let me get the hell outta here right quick.

Right!!! I bit my tongue on that one. It's my Home range 8 miles down the road and very reasonable cost to be a member and I usually have the range to myself. So not gonna burn that bridge.
