I reach for whatever is closest.

Having said that, if you have ever competed in any action pistol matches, there’s a reason there’s a special class for just 1911 single stack. It can’t hang with the modern double stack pistols in speed and capacity. Unless you’re some kind of grand master, not what I would grab.

.40 is no joke, but have you considered grabbing a .357 sig barrel? It’s like a 9mm on steroids! An extra $100 and you could have a fire breather on backup!

I have thought about getting one, but everytime I come close I always end up buying more ammo for the calibers I currently have.
