I think the best "purse gun" for a woman is a semi-auto "safe action" partially-pre-cocked trigger where the trigger weight and length of travel is HALF of what a small revolver has, AND the semi-autos almost always come with good sights and small revolvers almost all come with CRAPPY tiny non-colored sights (The availabilty of Crimson Trace laser-grips can help make up for iron sight deficiencies, though).

The S&W 360PD and the Night Guards all have nice sights on them
