My wife shot at me today.

Glad you are ok. You have an interesting story to tell the dealership when to go to trade in your truck.

This is the most important post in this thread.
There was a whole lot of serious disregard of safety rules in that vehicle, at that exact moment.
Why was a pistol all of the sudden, for no reason, "just asked to be handed" to the owner?
Why did the wife pull the trigger? Unless there were some mechanical abnormalities that we do not know about, she pulled the trigger.

Lots of training needed in this situation. Serious, serious, training on safety procedures.

And the fact they were both drinking all day. LOL

I don't see any safety violation in simply handing a weapon across a vehicle.

Unnecessary : sure
Not safe: only if executed unsafely.

All the why then assertions are rediculous to me. What if the weapon was actually needed.

Certainly more training on glove box draw and a full inspection of that weapon.

What? OP knows that I am joking, and I was the perfect person to run with this rabbit trail. I needed a laugh (I found out yesterday that Anora will need surgery on both of her feet, in addition to casts, surgeries on both knees and on the right thigh and found today that my parents will be able to stay with me only for 3 months, so I WILL be raising all 3 of my kids by myself. I did not update my thread, since I did not want to whine on ODT), so I took the bait. I am down in the sewer, way below the gutter, emotionally wise, so I made a cheap joke.
Did not mean to offend anybody, sorry, OP, if I did. I am glad that both of you are OK. Your wife feels terrible right now, so forgive and support her.
I have been following your original post about your wife's passing. When I saw your initial comment (how much do you want for her), I knew you were using humor to make yourself smile. I'm sure most understand. You are still in my prayers. Keep laughing when you can, and keep your head up!

OP, you got lucky man!

I'm glad to hear there were no injuries. I'd be interested to learn of there's any mechanical problem with the gun.
