I picked this up in an auction, nobody knew anything about it, but being fairly familiar with antique weapons I have a hypothesis I was hoping someone could confirm.

I believe this is North African and made out of a British bayonet during the late 1800s or early 1900s. The blade is approx 15 inches and the handle is 4 inches.

Can't quite identify the runes but they look similar to things I have seen on blades while in Morocco.

Just overall profile and handle shape lean more towards Middle Eastern Jordanian maybe. I've seen similar designs/Markings on blades from that area as well. But, I'm no expert just seen quite a few ME blades.
