Yupp, gonna pull the tag, rotate the cylinder, load, carry and shoot it.

But it looks to be pretty. My first real Colt SAA.

Very nice. You can time these so that the cylinder never gets a mark. Are you goin to customize this one?

Colt cylinder only gets marked 2 ways,.

Least common is a mark just outside the lead because cylinder bolt timing is several miles off, not likely on a factory gun.

Most common is the drag line which comes from incorrect operation... specifically lowering the hammer from less than full cock.

Grips and spring prolly.

Gorgeous! Love seeing folks shoot purty, expensive guns. I’ve got a pair of Colt SAA’s in .45 Colt, one with gold appointments and ivory grips. I used to compete with them in Cowboy Action Shooting, and still shoot them from time to time.
Gen 3 commemoratives are a good way to get a shooter colt at some big savings over other gens.

Colt and Winchester issued commeratives for every fart ever heard. Like most farts stink, most commeratives are butt ugly. But, the commeratives last longer and make noise more than once.

I bought one of the Winchester 1966 Centennial model 94's. 20", heavy octagon, gold-plated. Chopped it down to 16" to make a handy short rifle, had the gold stripped off, the barreled action and buttplate Cerakoted black, and the small parts dark gray. Williams receiver sight and a sourdough front sight.

It was my truck gun for many years, and I've shot a few deer with it.

6 reasons it's a shooter...

Unfired but cycled a lot.
Chipped grip.
Screws poorly fitted to action, hi and low.
Grip to frame fit.
Several areas where nickel finish is damaged.
Bent front sight.
